VGW is an online social gaming business established in 2010 that experienced swift growth, transforming from a startup into a thriving $3.5 billion business.
The previous CFO decided to leave after 5 years in the role, having led the organisation through a first phase of growth.
VGW was looking for a CFO capable of consolidating the work accomplished by the previous CFO and putting in place a structure to manage and drive further growth.

Conduct a global but confidential executive search process to appoint the best candidate to succeed in the role, mapping the market on a global level across gaming, banking and high growth technology companies.
Appoint a commercially-minded CFO to lead an international finance team while acting as a true business partner to the CEO and the entire leadership team.

Result

Guy Wylie has 20 years’ experience in the finance sector, starting his career in the area of insolvency at Arthur Andersen before moving to the world of M&A and capital markets at JP Morgan, RBS and later UBS. He later broadened his experience in the telco industry, joining Telstra in 2013 up until his appointment at VGW in 2023.
